Quail Peak Retreat is located in the rural wilderness of East Sooke, on the west coast of Vancouver Island, a half hour drive from British Columbia's capitol city, Victoria. Vancouver Island is north west of mainland British Columbia, Canada, and Washington State, USA, and is serviced by car and passenger ferries and an international airport. Once on the island, car rentals are recommended to explore the mostly rural region.

Vancouver Island is accessible by vehicle ferry from Vancouver or Horseshoe Bay (near Whistler) via BC Ferries or from Port Angeles, Washington, via the Coho Ferry. The island is also accessible from downtown Seattle to downtown Victoria via the passenger-only Victoria Clipper ferry; Budget Car Rentals are then recommended. Quail Peak Retreat is also an hour drive from the Victoria International Airport, where car rentals are easily accessible.

East Sooke is a 30-40 minute drive west of Victoria via a winding two-lane country road. Take your time and enjoy the scenery, as you drive through a second growth temperate rainforest.
